Sales Rule No 1 - Do your research first...

As those of you who work in our sales teams know, before you pick up the phone to speak to someone it's often worth doing a little bit of research first...well at least to check whether they are owned by one of your competitors!

Kate Kidger received the email below in response to the promotional ads she is running for ClickPets in the Friday-Ad at the moment (name has been removed to protect the innocent sales rep!)...

Dear Kate,
I note that you have an advert in the cuurent issue of the Friday Ad., and would like to make you aware that you could place a full colour ad., same size in The Argus, Friday & Saturday, on the internet for one week at a cost of £10 inclusive of vat.
